Easiest chocolate fudge sauce recipe ever!

If you know me, you'll know how excited I get when anyone asks me to make a chocolate cake. I think I got into baking for the sole purpose of baking chocolate cakes.

What you may (or may not as the case may be), surprised to know, is that there is an art to getting chocolate cake right. You need the right quality chocolate and sufficient moisture to make it wonderful. Dry chocolate cake is like stale cake - an exercise in disappointment and dissatisfaction.

Similarly, getting the right frosting to accompany said cake is another skill in itself. One of my favourites is the mighty chocolate fudge sauce. Fortunately, fairly early on in my chocolate fudge making journey, I stumbled across the easiest recipe ever from Nestle (click here for the recipe).

Once you've got the perfect cake (complete with vanilla biscuits and strawberries no less), then all that's left to do is adorn the cake with candles and sing harmoniously to the birthday girls.

African Mask Cupcakes

This weekend I checked out 1:54, the Contemporary African Art fair at Somerset House in London with my mum.

It was MORE than amazing. I was overwhelmed with the amount of amazing art, crammed into one space. The excitement, the pleasant autumn morning, the good company, the beautiful setting of Somerset House and the art made for one of the best days of the year.

That night I came home & got to creating some of my own pieces of African inspired sugar art out of fondant and chocolate. I was like the Mad Professor - completely obsessed! :)

Africa, Beautiful yet unappreciated
Africa, Sahara to the Atlantic
Africa, From Zulu Land to Yoruba Land
Africa, From Nile River to River Niger
Africa, Rain and Sunshine round the year,
Africa, With her greenery lustre
Africa, With Coolness, Calmness, a Serenity unequal
Africa, Your hospitality and warmth taken for granted
Africa, Raped and left desolate, yet richly blessed
Africa, Your Children scattered all over the World crying for you
Africa, You are simply mine Africa. ~ Segun Rasaki

My Alone Feels So Good, I'll Only Have You if You're Sweeter Than My Solitude...

Hey People's

First of all, thank you to everyone that has blessed my site with a visit over the years. It's been an honour to share a little of myself with people and get some amazing feedback.

Over the last few years I've been through so much and learnt so much about myself as a woman, lover, mother, daughter, sister, friend, family member and all of the various labels that we take on as we journey through this thing called life.

So far I've discovered that everything is meaningless - the appetite is never satisfied and that whatever it is that I seek, it is not outside, it is within.

This blog is a reflection of me and from now on will be even more so...

Take me as you will.

Peace & Love
